The natural pearl is built by Lillemor Magrethe and Überboss Preben. The couple is originally from central Southern Jutland, has visited Kalvø since the early 1990s, where they have enjoyed many summers and go water skiing with both children, family and friends.

For an event in the area, Margrethe and Preben need a place to sleep. Preben certainly thinks he can remember that there is a small B&B on Sønder Havvej by Kalvø, and decides to move out on the wild internet to find an address and telephone number. It is not an advertisement from booking.com or a smart website that comes up in his search. It is a sale ad from Nybolig. Preben gets so excited that he orders a showing.

With both children and children-in-law in tow, they are out looking at the place. The family's newly trained carpenters immediately proclaim that "that thigh just needs to be torn down". After many negotiations, a lot of calculations and beautiful drawings of their future home, Preben and Magrethe stand with the keys in hand approx. 9 months. After the first screening.

However, the story does not end here…

Little mother Margrethe is so excited about her new home that she would like to share the tranquility and the beautiful view with others. The drawings must no doubt be revised and the thoughts about a quiet resort, sustainability and accessibility for all get their start.

During the construction, which Preben himself is responsible for, he is not entirely satisfied with the quality of building materials and interior. He therefore decides to upgrade 90% of all materials - because it must be made properly so that it lasts. When the construction is completed in 2014, Preben has used the budget more than once and has come to do a little more out of the place than was actually intended.

The first rental will take place in the spring of 2014. Since then, we have had many guests visit, and fortunately they are also as excited as Margrethe was then in 2012. We therefore look forward to showing you our beautiful place and welcoming you to pure idyll and relaxation.
